As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews and Malibu Search and Rescue responded to a hiker reportedly over the side of a canyon cliff near Clyde Canyon Trail in Malibu. The hiker was described as disoriented and roughly 130 to 150 feet down the slope, and additional units and a helicopter were requested with a dedicated command channel for the rescue operation.

Fire personnel later spoke with the motorcycle rider from the solo vehicle crash, and the rider reportedly requested to cancel further response because he appeared to be ambulatory.
