As discussed during the dispatch call, officers were sent to a location near West Burton Road, possibly at an apartment complex, after a caller reported hearing a woman screaming about ten minutes earlier. The caller was outside and believed the sounds came from either an apartment or a nearby neighborhood. In a separate call, officers were also notified of a disturbance involving a man blocking a car from leaving near Pawnee.

One medic unit took over the non-emergent response from another unit, and additional crews coordinated on scene with fire personnel.
