As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews responded to a small grass fire west of an address on South Highway 79 near Dog Bar Road in Pennington County. The fire, reported as roughly half an acre at its largest, was surrounded by a wet line and did not require additional fire resources. Law enforcement was requested to speak with people believed to have started the fire and to confirm that it occurred on private land. Command for the incident was later transferred to a Battle Creek unit.

Updated information indicated the fireworks may have started a spreading fire just west of a location on South Highway 79 near Dog and Fox Road, with no reported injuries, entrapment, or hazardous materials.

As discussed during the dispatch call, deputies responded to a possible suspicious situation at a Dollar General in Hermosa after a caller reported the door was locked even though the store appeared open and no one responded to knocking for about 15 to 20 minutes. On arrival, the deputy found a couple of elderly people sitting in a parked vehicle and planned to speak with them and check the store doors.

As discussed during the dispatch call, radio traffic reports a possible two vehicle crash near a location called the Forty Nine. A female driver reportedly said she was not hurt but was rubbing her neck. The vehicles apparently left the scene with damage and were later reported near East Main Street in Hermosa.
