As discussed during the dispatch call, radio traffic indicates a possible lightning strike led to a small fire at a chicken coop near Big Pine Way in the Klamath Falls area. The caller initially reported a possible house fire near an intersection but could not find it on checking outside. Responding units searched the area and later confirmed the small coop fire was out and cold.

As discussed during the dispatch call, units responded to a single-vehicle crash involving a white pickup and mailboxes near OR 66 and McCormick Road. Several bystanders stopped to help, the driver was reportedly walking with a head injury, and at least the westbound lanes were blocked while the heavily damaged vehicle was partly in a ditch and partly on the roadway.
