As discussed during the dispatch call, law enforcement in Madison County reported being out with a vehicle along US 19E between Ruth Circle and Cart Pond when a small fire was discovered under the vehicle. The officer used a fire extinguisher to put out the apparent minor fire and then canceled the responding fire department. A license plate check indicated the vehicle was a 1999 Honda Civic registered out of Asheville with an expired registration.
