As discussed during the dispatch call, dispatch received a report of a fallen tree blocking about a lane and a half of the southbound roadway on John Curry Drive behind the jail in Kennett. Street and public works departments could not be reached or assist, so an officer was asked to check the situation.

As discussed during the dispatch call, deputies responded to a reported attempted burglary at a home on Freida Drive. The caller reported multiple armed people at the back of the house trying to get inside. The caller said he was armed with two .380 pistols and fired two shots toward the back glass. Radio traffic indicated the caller is a convicted felon, and deputies instructed him to leave the firearms inside and come out when they arrived.

A resident previously said the calls were accidental after a young child dropped the phone in water and it began malfunctioning; dispatch later reported they were unable to make contact.
