As discussed during the dispatch call, officers responded to a possible burglary in progress reported north of a residence on Basswood Avenue in Duluth. A caller saw flashlights in a vacant house and a gray Subaru Forester in the driveway. Another caller later reported the house belongs to her grandmother and that the original reporting party, described as a retired officer, was walking around the property. Separate units also handled a burglary alarm at a community center on East Village View Drive.
