As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews investigated a possible smoke condition in a multi‑story building near Main Street in Mason City. Responders searched the floors, found light haze near an entrance, and began ventilating the building. Radio traffic indicated there still appeared to be electrical power in the structure despite earlier reports that utility meters had been pulled. Access issues with locked doors and coordination with city staff and utility workers were discussed.

As discussed during the dispatch call, officers dealt with a reportedly combative and intoxicated woman being transported to jail. At the same time, they searched for and located her black Toyota Camry off the road near the (number withheld) block of 12th Street NE, east of California Avenue, and requested a tow due to the car being down a steep embankment.
