As discussed during the dispatch call, fire crews in Charleston were dispatched to a smoke investigation near apartment buildings on Edgar Drive. Callers reported heavy smoke in the parking lot near south-side apartments. Responding units found a light haze of smoke around a row of multi-story townhouses. It was later reported that the smoke was apparently coming from a car a resident was trying to start.

A separate medical call involved an adult woman with respiratory symptoms at a business on West Park Plaza. Units established command, checked the church, and later reported the situation all clear with repairs to be made.
