As discussed during the dispatch call, emergency crews responded to a hazardous diesel spill from a semi truck near Shaw Creek by La Veta Pass. An estimated 30 to 50 gallons of diesel reportedly leaked, and responders stated the spill was semi-contained with absorbent material while the truck remained on scene.

South Fork Fire, state patrol, and the county emergency manager appear to have been notified, and hazmat may also be contacted to assess the spill.
