As discussed during the dispatch call, deputies responded near West Avenue C in Lancaster for a possible low-value theft. A caller reported that a male friend around 40 years old allegedly took the caller’s wallet and other belongings and left in an older white Toyota Corolla. The man was described as wearing all black and possibly under the influence of psychiatric medication.

Light smoke from mulch appears to be contained within existing dozer lines, and no structures are threatened. Most additional responding units were canceled while a nearby engine and patrol remained on scene.
